Community Training & Support Programs

Our Training Project Area is dedicated to addressing the critical gaps in skills and knowledge essential for local communities to thrive. With growing demand for skilled labor in Botswana’s tourism and mining sectors, and an urgent need for foundational skills in entrepreneurship, we aim to empower individuals with the competencies that align with market needs. Yet beyond economic opportunity, the training center will address fundamental knowledge in areas such as nutrition, hygiene, basic human rights, and personal well-being—areas where marginalized groups, including the San, people with disabilities, and disadvantaged communities, face heightened vulnerabilities. By partnering with academic institutions, we bring in expertise and resources to train our NGO staff while extending these learning opportunities across the community. This center will become a hub for community-driven education, where all members, from GBV survivors to local youth and even those seeking personal change, can acquire practical skills for self-sufficiency, including subsistence farming, marketing, and income generation. Our vision is to foster a supportive, inclusive environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds can gather, learn, and create sustainable livelihoods, transforming lives and building resilient communities.
